Landscape Design Services

Our landscape design process is a collaborative process during which our clients are encouraged to participate to the extent they desire. Sometimes the most difficult step in the process is “where to start” – which is where we come in.
We start with our Initial Design Consultation where we share ideas while reviewing the physical site of your project. During this time we will also address your objectives, timelines and budget. It is important for us to clearly understand these elements to ensure that our company is the right fit for your needs. This consult is a complimentary service and will often result in a general design concept that accomplishes your goals and fits your schedule and budget. We conclude our Initial Design Consult with determining an appropriate direction for the development of your design concept. We offer three levels of design service to meet the various requirements of our clients.

 

Quick Sketch

With small simple projects our “quick sketch” is often an ideal solution. We have a low fee of $75 for which our clients receive up to an additional 1.25 hours of Design Work as a follow up to their Initial design Consult. A quick digital sketch (not to scale) is emailed along with photos of proposed plantings in order to provide a clearer sense of the concepts that were discussed during the Initial Design Consult. An estimate for Installation Service is also provided. Larger projects and revisions may require additional Design Work at a rate of $60/hour.

Scale Sketch

For clients that would prefer a more detailed plan and for complex projects we allocate up to 3 hours of Design Work to do field measurements and a scale drawing of the design concept. The sketch of the finished design concept is emailed along with photos of proposed plantings and hardscape materials. An estimate for Installation Service is also provided. The design fee is $175. Larger projects and revisions may require additional Design Work at a rate of $60/hour.

Full Scale Design

As our top end design service we offer a full sized architectural rendering as well as a complete 3D hand drawn sketch option for more fully visualizing what your completed project would look like. This service begins with a Follow Up Design Consultation with our designer to review Initial Design Concepts, explore additional options, and establish a focus for the final plan. During this time our designer will go into more depth regarding design elements such as intended use of space and traffic flow as well as hardscape, planting, irrigation, and lighting options. Our designer will then create your Full Scale Design based on the guidelines established during this consultation. A Project Review Meeting will then be scheduled to go over your design in detail and review the Installation Estimate. Our designer will help you to make final selections on plantings and hardscape materials. When you are completely satisfied with your Design and Installation Estimate we will provide you with a detailed Project Contract and schedule your project for installation. The design fee for this service is $500 for most large scale projects. Complex projects involving major elevation changes, extensive retaining wall systems, outdoor kitchens, and/or pergolas may require additional design costs which would be addressed during the Follow Up Design Consult.
